Not exactly a steppingstone for the Derby but Tapizar won this race in 2011 before going on to an unlikely BC win in 2012.

AGREED! I was at Delta Jackpot for his win. Very nice colt with pedigree that screams miler. Should break in front, control pace, and cruise to victory.

Uh, I'm not seeing 2/5. Baffert has two in there, one of which is a G3 winner like Goldencents and also G1 placed. The other looks pretty talented too. His maiden win wasn't quite as impressive as Bodemeister's last year, but somewhat reminiscent.

You should get 4/5. I'd be careful.

Careful is right while I like Goldencents, other than exotics this is a pass race for me especially considering all the ways he could lose at minscule odds.

Just my opinion- Goldencents a bet against at longer distances.

2 seconds slower than 2012 edition with the top three slowing appreciably in the final eighth not a good sign for future improvement.

Not a fan of Krigger's aggressive whipping.
