One of the most important things you can do to help yourself is to be familiar with the condition sheet at each track that you play. There is more "up and down" movement with harness horses than with thoroughbreds. The claimers are straightforward. Conditoned class races (bases on earnings last 5 or 6 starts) are a different story. Sometimes the bottom line is the most important, depending on how the condition sheet plays out. Races that have eligibility clauses that include "Races won" NW1, 2, 3 etc can be tricky but profitable if you can forcast trainer intent. It is sometimes an advantage if you know that a horse racing in this type of classification has a start coming up in either a late closer or stake event. If you do not understand, post and I will try to explain further.
