Rise Over Run
12-29-2012, 10:41 AM
I don't do much sports wagering but I see one this weekend that I can't pass up. It seems like the NY Giants are either making a SB run or completely packing things in at the end of the season. They've completely packed it in over the past 2 weeks and see no reason it won't continue this week versus the Eagles. A win by the Eagles will give the Philly fans even more to complain about for losing draft spots.

Eagles +7 and some on the Eagles straight up at +280.

I don't bet much in week 17. Motivation levels among the different teams just varies too much. Some of the games are just glorified exhibition games.

St. Louis +11---Seattle ripe for a letdown after huge win over Niners. Fisher is 60% ATS in his career as an underdog.
Jets/Bills UNDER 39---The Sanchise is back. But then again, the Bills defense is the most Jekyl and Hyde unit in the NFL. They've allowed under 20 points in 6 games, but 45 or more in four games (but only once since the end of September).

YTD: 46-41-4

Bizarre overturn in the Indy-Houston game. Chalk one up for Valiant head coaches and the New England Patriots.

A Luck getting tossed on his head in a meaningless game.

I could have sworn i heard Indy was locked into their seed and this game meant nothing, but, i could be wrong.

Was going to post the exact same thing, after paying half-attention to first half Bengals/Ravens. The Bengies' radio guy thought that Balt would rather play Indy (5-seed) next week than Cincy (6) a third time, so that they're cool with their four-spot regardless of what happens above them; and I haven't noticed a sense of urgency by either team.

Houston is the team you want to play, they're DOG####.

can Houston play from behind?

New England has incentive to win now w/ the Houston loss.

I still like 10.5 pts for Miami.

Not to redboard, but they have shown in inability to come from behind this season. They also have a very shaky secondary that relies too much on JJ Watt pressuring the QB.

Vikes must win here, should be a battle vs Green Bay.

Chicago won. So the Redskins MUST WIN to make the playoffs.
Large dose of RG3 ? Will it be enough??

Possibly the worst pick ever. I'll gladly end the season at 0-1. This is why I need to stick to the ponies; thank goodness Qaraaba bailed me out in the Bobby Frankel.

It wasnt that bad of a pick, its hard to determine which teams have 'quit' on the season and which teams have not. Some teams 'quit' for 3 games and then you think they're 'all out' mentally and wallah, they 'show up' and play their eyeballs out. Philly played ok in the previous week showing some signs that they might not have completely quit (like dogs) on the year, but they just decided to pack it in and head for the exits one game too soon for you.
